| Project Purpose & Description | "Bridge to the Future" Training Camp for Young Leaders from China and Latin America is an initiative raised by President Xi Jinping during China-Latin America and the Caribbean Summit in 2014. It aims to invite 1000 young leaders from Latin America and the Caribbean countries to seminars, conferences and training camps in China in ten years. | |
| Activity Description & Outcome | The China Latin America Youth Development Forum was held as an important event of the 2023 "Bridge to the Future" Training Camp. The theme of this forum is "Consolidating the Innovative Forces of China and Latin America, and Promoting Youth Priority Development Together". Nearly 100 young representatives from Latin American and Caribbean countries participated through online and offline means.Leaders of youth organizations from countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Honduras, Nicaragua, Peru, and Venezuela gave speeches on priority areas and emerging issues of youth policies in each country. During their stay in China, young representatives visited cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Jinggangshan on topics such as mutual learning of civilizations, digital economy, and ecological protection. | |
