Tourism
At the people-to-people level, tourism is an increasingly important conduit of exchange between the East Asia and Latin America region. As FEALAC accounts for 37% of the world’s tourists arrivals (2015, World Tourism Organization), FEALAC member countries should explore ways and means to facilitate travels in order to encourage more people to people contacts, especially with reference to culture and youth-related tourism between the two regions. In this regard, the 3 Working Groups were reorganized into the 4 Working Groups in 2013 to focus more on specific topics that include tourism in the Working Group on Trade, Investment, Tourism, MSMEs.
