Project Purpose & Description
The government of Japan started FEALAC young leader invitaion program in 2001.
The purpose of this program is to deepen mutual understandings among young leaders of FEALAC member countries and to learn about certain topics which contribute addressing common challenges that we share.
Activity Description & Outcome
In 2018, the government invited 9 young government officials from FEALAC member countries such as Columbia, Ecuador, Hondurs, Mexico, Panama, Uruguay, Laos, Mongolia and Philippines.
The theme of this program was "Use of Technology to Build a Sustainable Society. As a country that has dedicated to the development of technology, Japan shared its experience and lessons with the invited young leaders.
The participants highly evaluated the stay in Japan and evaluated that the program would contribute and help to expand their point of views in order to achieve a sustainable society in thier respective countries.
