The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources - MARN - as governing entity of the environmental topics admits that the education is an essential element that allows the achievement of his competitions; for which it is important to initiate the processes of formation and awareness to early ages for the development and acquisition of habits and values opposite to the care of the environment, developing his responsibility and commitment with the nature.


It is necessary that the child and the girl know the natural resources of an entertaining way, in his own language and in agreement to his age putting to his disposition a series of technological applications to which it will be able to access with the help of his parents across the web page of the MARN www.marn.gob.gt, contributing to the development of an environmental culture to the sustainable development.


General objective:

To affect in the population put from interactive material that allows the utilization of all his senses to know and to explore his environmental environment that internalize his conscience that leads him to the development of an amicable culture with the environment.


Specific objectives:

• To initiate the child and the girl in the knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the environment, in order to develop curiosity and respect towards them.

• To develop the cognitive skills in the child and the girl so that it knows his environmental reality in critical and objective form.

• To contribute in the development of the necessary aptitudes in order that they could take part in the resolution of the environmental problems of his long-term locality.

The project ECOLOGICAL GUARDIAN JUNIOR consists of the creation of technological playful and telematics applications which content is environmental from which the children and 5-year-old girls of the territory of Guatemala will learn and agree cultural responsibly and amicably with the environment.

The development of this environmental education of not formal character will be carried out from putting at the disposal of the family parents playful applications in the web page www.marn.gob.gt of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources - MARN - to effect of achieving an interactive learning that allows the sensitization and raising awareness of the children and girls in pre-school age that allows the development of positive and enterprising attitudes depending on the care, preservation and environmental conservation.

Awaited result

The children and 5-year-old with access to the technology develop a responsible and awkward attitude it was doing the environment from an existential learning unloading technological applications in his cellular one’s or other technological tools which they possess.
