Project Purpose & Description
Analyze current issues on the national agenda with an emphasis on trade, migration, security and consular issues and provide a contemporary vision of Mexican culture, fostering links with their counterparts in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to generate formal and informal exchange spaces for creating professional links.
Become familiar with various instances of the Mexican government and entities of national political life, especially with the structure of the Mexican Foreign Ministry.
Learn about the artistic and cultural aspects of Mexico.

Through sessions with staff of the Mexican ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Matias Romero Institute (IMR) will offer participants an overview of:
The internal and external politics of Mexico.
Priorities of Mexico's foreign policy.
Mexico in the international economy and regional and international organization.
Mexico's relations with other regions of the world.
Activity Description & Outcome
[Outcomes]
Participants will have a strong knowledge about Mexico’s contemporary foreign policy and its challenges and opportunities, both bilateral and multilateral, in the political and economic spheres. Also, they will know about the impact of the Foreign Policy in national affairs throughout its history and its cultural component.
It is worth mentioning that the knowledge between Mexico and other countries has improved; therefore, participants have shown completely satisfaction about the contents of the course.
[Next Steps]
The continuity of ongoing projects will depend on the budgetary availability, in virtue of the cooperation projects that are funded exclusively by the Mexican government.
