Project Purposes The project seeks to enhance member countries’ understanding on the Mega-FTAs in which FEALAC economies are involved, helping FEALAC countries to readily respond to future changes in the global trade regime.
Activity Description The seminar will also provide a platform where experts and policymakers to share views and opinions on inter-regional trade, bearing in mind the sustainable development of FEALAC member countries.
Outcomes At the 3rd Meeting of the Working Group on Trade, Investment, Tourism and MSMEs on Aug. 25th, 2016 at the occasion of the 17th FEALAC Senior Officials’ Meeting, Korea presented its national project “Seminar on Inter-Regional Trade”, and it was suggested that the member countries create an ad-hoc Expert Group on Trade in the near future as an in-depth follow-up measure of the Seminar on the May 19th.
