Project Purpose & Description

The Direction of Formation and Participation Social-DIFOPAS across the Department of Training, is the manager of promoting and arousing the Guatemalan population on the importance of the Environmental Education, for it relies on an equipment of Environmental Departmental Educators and of the Central MARN that they realize several activities as: Graduates, Courses, Seminars, Forums and Workshops attend them and virtual national, in different topics in environmental matter: Environmental Education, Climate change, I Generate and Multiculturalidad, as well as institutional priorities, Managing of Residues and Solid Waste, Desertification and Drought, Managing and Protection Water Resources, between others.

The DIFOPAS, programmes anually trainings for the Environmental Educators in the Operative Plan Anual-POA-for the strengthening of capacities and update of knowledge; as well as the review and update of new methodologies of education learning that the aims help to reach and to advance in the fulfillment of the national regulation and the international commitments acquired by the State of Guatemala in environmental matter.

The aim is to generate new knowledge as for environmental education to dividing, new methodologies that contain didactic, pedagogic dynamic aspects and easily to apply to propitiate in them in the population an attitude of environmental care.

Also facilitate communication of information to different groups of communities where educational activities are carried out.
