II. Executive Summary
- Project Purposes
- Nowadays, the left-wings are on the decrease and right-wings on the rise, with intense competitions among political thoughts. In order to accurately study and predict regional situation, we shall strengthen exchanges with Latin American think-tank scholars, to learn the development and adjustment of contemporary Latin American capitalism and its prospect.
- Activity Description
- Mr. Liu Hongcai, then Vice Minister of the International Department of CPC, met the delegates, and Experts from CCTB and CNSA introduced socialism with Chinese characteristics. The delegates attended the Seminar on the Reflection and Adjustment of Contemporary Latin American Capitalism and Wan Shou Forum of Avoiding the Middle-Income Trap in Beijing, and inspected local economic situation in Sichuan Province and Shanghai
- Outcomes
- It is of significance to lead local scholars and public intellectuals to rationally observe Chinese development mode and China-Latin America relations. The delegates admire the development achievements China has made and the seminars promoted mutual understanding between Chinese and Latin American scholars
